Christopher Peter Meloni has been a popular American actor throughout his career. The actor is best famous for his roles performed in "Law & Order Special Victims Unit". The first time he became interested in acting was in his early college days. He was a student of acting at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He has appeared in both films and television, but the small screen characters which earned him fame and a large fan base. It is no surprise that he has been able grab the attention of viewers by playing characters on both one side of the legal system. The first show he worked on was a television show, and later, he played a detective for the NYPD. He has been nominated multiple times for the prestigious Emmy Awards and the PRISM Awards for his tiny screen performances. The most appealing feature of his face is believed to be his striking blue eyes that are regarded to be his trademark. They helped in portraying rough characters with charisma. The year 2006 was the last time he appeared on People's magazine's Sexiest Men Alive list.
